Intervention

Adjuvant dendritic cell based immunotherapy (DCBI) after cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal mesothelioma.

Key inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria:

• Diagnose epitheliaal maligne peritoneaal mesothelioom (cyto-/histologisch bevestigd)
• Patiënten moeten ambulant zijn (WHO-ECOG 0-1) en in stabiele medische conditie
• Normale orgaanfunctie en bloedbeeld: (Hb ≥6 mmol/l, trombocyten ≥100 *109/l, neutrofielen ≥1.0 *109/l)
• Patiënt moet in staat zijn frequent het Erasmus MC te bezoeken voor adequate follow up en vaccinaties

Key exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria:

• Extra-abdominale metastasen
• Huidig gebruik van steroïden of andere immunosuppressieve middelen (6 weken discontinuatie voor de eerste vaccinatie, m.u.v. profylactisch dexamethason bij chemotherapie)
• Eerdere cytroreductieve chirurgie
• Eerdere maligniteit m.u.v. basaalcelcarcinoom binnen tien jaar voor inclusie
• Voorgeschiedenis van auto-immuunziekten of allogene orgaantransplantatie
• Actieve of chronische infectie waaronder HIV en virale hepatitis
• Ernstige chronische ziekte zoals COPD, hartfalen, nierinsufficiëntie of leverfunctiestoornis
• Zwangerschap of borstvoeding
• Schaaldierallergie
